icinga software package provides host and network monitoring system - metapackage, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install icinga
icinga is installed in your system.
Make ensure the icinga package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep icinga *
You will get with icinga package name, version, architecture and description in a table
